Manitowoc County officially has a new treasurer.
The county board voted 20-2 to appoint Jim Brey, now a former supervisor, to fill the job.
Brey was credited by Chairman Tyler Martell for having a wealth of experience in local government, dedicating three decades of service to both the Manitowoc County Board of Supervisors and the Manitowoc Common Council.
Brey told SeehaferNews.com that he was looking forward to the job and was ready to bring some stability to the position.
Brey takes over for Kathy Reissmann, who announced her resignation at the end of June. Her last day is Saturday (July 19th).
