There are four Manitowoc County governmental meetings scheduled for today (July 15th).
The Traffic Safety Commission will be in Conference Room 1 in the Sheriff’s Office at 10:00 a.m. where the public will be given time to comment.
They will then conduct a site evaluation for the speed limit at Country Road Q and Goodwin Road and will discuss safety and speeding concerns on Stone Road between Rockwood Road and Highway 10, and at the intersection of Highway 147 and East Hillcrest Road.
Then, at 5:30 p.m., the Executive Committee will be in the Education Room in the Heritage Center to discuss a resolution regarding the opioid settlement.
The County Board will meet in the Board Room at 6:00 p.m., where they will also address that resolution and will officially appoint Jim Brey to be the next County Treasurer.
Closing out the day will be the Board of Adjustment, which will meet in the County Office Complex at 7:00 p.m.
They will review two variance permit requests for properties in the Towns of Liberty and Newton, and a conditional use permit request for a property in the Town of Centerville.
