Two roads in Calumet County are closing for construction.
The Calumet County Highway Department will be pulverizing and repaving County Highway JJ between County Highway PP and Fisher Road starting today (July 15th).
It will take about four weeks to complete. Eastbound traffic will be detoured north on County Highway PP, east to US 10, and south on County Highway W back to JJ. Westbound traffic will go the other way.
Another road project started in the Village of Sherwood yesterday (July 14th) to replace utilities on County Highway M between Highway 55/114 and Keller Road.
Drivers going northbound will be detoured west on Highway 55/114 north before being directed east on Highway 10 back to County Highway M. Southbound traffic will go the opposite way.
County Highway M is expected to remain open to local traffic in the area, but drivers are asked to avoid the area as much as possible.
