The Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association is applauding the state for agricultural road improvements.
The Wisconsin Legislature and Governor Tony Evers included $150 million in support for various projects, an increase from the $111.4 million allocated in the 2023-2025 state budget.
Several dairy businesses that received funding during the last budget for the Agricultural Road Improvement Project (ARIP) included Pine River Pre-Pack in Newton, the Cedar Valley Cheese in Belgium, and Two Guernsey Girls Creamery in Freedom, just to name a few.
Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association Director of Program and Policy Rebekah Sweeney says Wisconsin’s investment in rural road infrastructure makes a meaningful difference not just for dairy producers, but for communities.
