Manitowoc Public School District’s Superintendent wants to communicate better with the community.
Lee Thennes is hosting a new event called Coffee and Conversation with the Superintendent.
It will take place over the next two Fridays, including this Friday (July 18th) at 9:00 a.m. at Jenn’s Java on Washington Street.
Thennes wants to ensure that members in the MPSD are informed and prevent rumors from spreading.
“I think out of the four questions or five questions I got last time, two of them were rooted in rumor,” he noted. “And so, that tells me that perhaps our communication on certain things isn’t landing where it should be.”
Residents can ask questions about the school district, their strategic vision, or about Thennes himself.
He says if the event goes well, he would want to continue it monthly.
