A former student teacher at Menasha High School will be going to trial.
23-year-old Cameron A. Mueller appeared in Winnebago County court late last week as he has been charged with one felony count of Sexual Misconduct by School Staff or Volunteer.
At that hearing, the 23-year-old waived his right to a preliminary hearing, and Judge Michael Rust found probable cause in the case, resulting in Mueller being bound over for trial.
The former Menasha student teacher was arrested in May earlier this year after an investigation was conducted by the Menasha Police Department in collaboration with police at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, where he is enrolled.
This investigation began after the Menasha School District received information stating that Mueller had inappropriate contact and conduct with a student.
Mueller will return to court in Winnebago County on July 28th for his arraignment.
