
The results are in for local shooters at the USA High School Clay Target League National Championships.
As a team, the Mishicot squad finished 60th with a score of 468 out of 500.
Vanessa Paquette was the 6th best female shooter in Mason, Michigan, and the 86th best overall, shooting 98 out of 100 clay pigeons, while teammate Xavier McCarty was 280th among the boys and 315th overall with a 93.
Fellow Indian Logan Campion shot an 88 in the finals, good for 343rd among the boys and 343rd overall.
Two shooters from Luxemburg-Casco also fared well, with Mitchell Zabel’s 96 good for 168th among all male shooters, and 187th overall, while Emerson Buresh was 43rd in the girls category and 397th overall with a score of 85.
The top shooter from Wisconsin was Jacob Itzen of Ashland-Washburn, who was 7th overall with a perfect 100, while Nicholas Coppage of Queen Anne’s County High School in Maryland earned the top spot overall.
