The Madison Police and Fire Commission has named the final three contenders for the city’s next police chief.
Acting Chief John Patterson, longtime department member Stephanie Drescher, and Milwaukee Police veteran Steven Johnson are set for recorded interviews on August 14th.
The recordings will be made publicly available on the commission’s website.
Patterson has led the department since Shon Barnes stepped down to take the same role in the City of Seattle, while Drescher and Johnson bring decades of experience to the table.
