The Manitowoc Public School District has named the next associate principal at Washington Middle School.
Dana Bongle, who has been teaching at Lincoln High School, will now serve as associate principal after the MPSD school board’s approval.
Bongle has worked his entire teaching career for MPSD, teaching physical education at Lincoln since 2000.
According to the district, he won the Manitowoc County Education Impact Award, and in 2017, he was a finalist for a Herb Kohl Educational Foundation Teacher Fellowship.
In May, Bongle was also inducted into MPSD’s Quarter Century Club. Bongle calls it a dream that he’s still working on.
He will join Lainey Longmeyer, who has been appointed as Washington’s next principal.
