Eastern Wisconsin’s representative in Congress is praising the Department of Labor for withdrawing its proposed rule of phasing out the use of 14(c) certificates.
Rep. Glenn Grothman says if the measure had passed, it would have jeopardized meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities and threatened the future of Community Rehabilitation Providers (CRPs) nationwide.
In a statement to SeehaferNews.com, Rep. Grothman said, “This decision protects the right of individuals with disabilities to choose the employment opportunity that best fits their needs…I was proud to lead the charge against this proposal with my legislation and remain committed to preserving and expanding opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.”
