Bob May's Award Winning Sand Sculpture
The annual Wisconsin Sand Sculpting Festival is set to return to the Lake Michigan shoreline next weekend.
Red Arrow Beach in Manitowoc will play host once again to a slew of talented sand sculptors, who will take a block of sand and turn it into some phenomenal works of art.
The two-day event attracts thousands to Manitowoc to view the artwork, explore the vendor booths and food trucks, and learn more about how sand sculpting works.
Judging will take place on Sunday, July 20th, but not just by a panel of hand-selected judges.
Festival attendees can also cast a vote for their favorite piece to help name the People’s Choice winner.
For the first time, the event is free to attend, as sponsors have offset the costs of putting on the event.
Manitowoc Sunrise Rotary, an event organizing partner, will be accepting donations to fund their charitable community efforts.
