The Wisconsin Maritime Museum is welcoming an author to the lakeshore this weekend.
Wes Oleskewski, author of “World War II & the Great Lakes”, will be at the museum on Sunday (July 13th) for a free discussion in the Riverview Room at 2:00 p.m.
Oleszewski is known for his engaging storytelling and deep historical research.
His work sheds light on the lesser-known contributions of the Great Lakes region during World War II, focusing on the ordinary citizens who played extraordinary roles in America’s war effort.
This book is not a single narrative but a collection of compelling, authentic stories that bring the wartime Midwest to life.
Following his presentation, Oleszewski will be signing copies of his book.
Books are available for purchase in the Pier 75 Museum Store at the Wisconsin Maritime Museum.
