The Sheboygan Area School District (SASD) has provided an update on two major projects.
SASD has said that work on the Farnsworth and Urban Middle School renovation projects continues to progress positively, with numerous key milestones being achieved in recent weeks following the end of the school year.
The district passed a $121 million referendum to improve the two aging middle schools in November of last year, with support from 65% of voters who reside in the district.
Milestones hit recently include Bray Architects presenting updates to the Board of Education, hosting community info sessions, and, most recently, meetings with the City of Sheboygan’s Historic Preservation Committee.
What comes next for the district’s planners and builders will be ongoing coordination with the City regarding the projects, engineering work at both sites to ready each location for construction, and the finalization of a design plan.
Bray Architects has also released preliminary concept images for what they hope Farnsworth and Urban Middle Schools will look like in the future, and they can be viewed by visiting sheboygan.k12.wi.us.
