Two Rivers Main Street is ready to once again honor one of the biggest names in blues music.
The 2025 Bryan Lee Memorial Blues Festival is slated for this coming Saturday on the Schmidt Brothers Stage in Central Park.
Bryan Lee, also known as the Braille Blues Daddy and Blind Giant of the Blues, was born in Two Rivers and toured the world showcasing his unique blues stylings.
Lee recorded 18 albums over his four decades performing and was honored with numerous awards, including a 2011 Grammy nomination.
He passed away in 2020, and his hometown began honoring him with an annual concert the following year.
A total of six bands will fill the downtown Two Rivers air with blues music, including Howard Luedtke & Blue Max, Rick Berthod & Six String Therapy, Jay Edwards Band, Robert Allen Junior Band, and Stefhan Geisinger.
Bethany Kumbalek-Lee, Bryan’s widow, says the annual blues showcase is “comforting to see so many familiar faces from near and far away… I am looking forward to seeing you all again and hearing these phenomenal bands.”
The concert will begin at 1:00 p.m. and will end at around 9:00.
