Property owners in the City of Sheboygan can expect assessment notices in the mail shortly.
The City has stated that they began sending out the 2025 property assessments on Monday (July 7th).
Residents and business owners are asked to review their reassessment letter for information regarding the new assessment on a property, which includes the Open Book Conference scheduled for the week of July 21st.
2025 marks the fourth year of a five-year city-wide re-evaluation project to review every property assessment in Sheboygan.
In an announcement, the City stated that this process is not intended to raise citizens’ taxes, but rather, to fairly distribute the tax burden fairly and equitably among those properties eligible to be taxed in accordance with Wisconsin law.
