A woman charged in a 2025 Green Bay homicide is pleading not guilty.
45-year-old Tonia Piontek was back in Brown County court for her arraignment hearing to which she entered a not guilty plea for a charge of 1st-degree intentional homicide.
FOX 11 reports that Piontek called 911 on April 13th, saying she stabbed a 41-year-old man.
According to a criminal complaint, both she and the victim had been drinking and arguing before she allegedly stabbed him with a pastry kitchen knife.
The victim’s name has not been released. She’ll return to court on October 2nd for a status conference.
Green Bay Police were initially called to the 1300 block of Smith Street in April for a weapons complaint before they found the victim with a stab wound.
