The Two Rivers Public School District will be looking for a new athletic director.
The school board approved accepting the resignation of Brian Gallagher during their second June meeting.
Superintendent Diane Johnson told the board that Gallegher has been fulfilling multiple roles, including teaching and wellness in the district, which also included serving as the athletic director.
Additionally, Gallagher and his wife own a business and are losing one of their employees.
The school board unanimously accepted his resignation.
According to his page on the district’s website, he started teaching in Two Rivers at L.B. Clark Middle School in 2001.
He was first named athletic director in 2019.
It’s not clear when the district will start looking for Gallagher’s replacement.
