The Manitowoc County Highway Department has announced another road project as part of continued construction this summer.
Highway Department Director Greg Grotegut tells Seehafernews.com that County Highway B from Pit Road in Mishicot north to the county line at County Highway BB will be open to local traffic only beginning next Monday (June 14th).
The road project consists of milling, followed by a two-week curing period, and then a final layer of asphalt, shoulder work, and pavement marking.
The highway department says to expect the roadway to be “closed to thru traffic” within the segment, although access will be allowed for residences and businesses.
Regular traffic will be detoured onto Highway 147, then onto County Highway V, and then toward Highway 42, back to County Highway BB.
The project is expected to be finished by the end of August, depending on the weather.
