A police officer is recovering in the hospital after crashing into a utility pole Sunday evening during a traffic pursuit.
The Greendale Police Department says the officer was attempting a stop when a chase began.
Another vehicle reportedly cut in front of the squad car, forcing the officer to swerve and crash near 76th Street and Rawson Avenue.
The officer sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
No other injuries or arrests were reported.
