There were no major injuries after a three-way crash in Manitowoc that caused one vehicle to flip on its side.
Manitowoc Police were called on July 4th at 11:40 p.m. to the crash at North 8th Street and Waldo Blvd, and closed the intersection for safety.
Officers determined that two people from Manitowoc and another from Green Bay were involved. One of the drivers needed assistance getting out of their vehicle because of the damage.
Witness accounts determined that the crash happened with a northbound SUV on North 8th that entered the intersection of Waldo Blvd and collided with a westbound SUV, resulting in the northbound SUV flipping and landing on the hood of a pickup truck, which stopped at the intersection.
Drugs and alcohol are not believed to be a factor in the crash. MPD thanked multiple people who reported the crash as well as Manitowoc Fire and Rescue.
They also reminded drivers to be safe in their travels over the weekend.
