An Eastern Wisconsin State Senator is very happy with several pieces of the 2025-2027 Biennial Budget.
Sen. Andre Jacque of New Franken announced that he voted in favor of the budget, which he said includes several initiatives he has long championed.
Sen. Jacque tells SeehaferNews.com that he is very happy with the ending of the state taxes on home utilities, calling energy taxes “among the more regressive forms of taxation.”
He was also able to secure funding for county conservation and Independent Living Center grants, the cleanup of the Kewaunee and Brillion Marshes, and a new community shelter in Brown County.
Sen. Jacque also praised the approved closing of the Green Bay Correctional Institution, saying, “I look forward to working with the administration and my colleagues on the next phases of this process.”
