Advocates on both sides of the abortion debate are responding to a Wisconsin Supreme Court decision.
This decision struck down the state’s 19th-century abortion ban. In a 4–3 ruling, the court found the law unenforceable.
Matt Sande of Pro-Life Wisconsin expressed disappointment and affirmed the group’s continued push to outlaw abortion entirely.
Meanwhile, Planned Parenthood Wisconsin’s Michelle Velasquez said the ruling brought “relief and gratitude,” stating it aligns with long-standing views of patients and providers on reproductive rights.
