Two vehicles were claimed during a fire in Green Bay.
The Green Bay Metro Fire Department received a call yesterday (July 2nd) just before 5:00 a.m. reporting a garage fire in the 600 block of Augusta Street.
Arriving fire crews observed a detached garage fully engulfed in flames in an alley behind the reported address.
Firefighters began attacking the fire from both the front and back sides of the structures while simultaneously working to prevent the flames from spreading to any neighboring homes or garages.
The blaze was brought under control and deemed to be extinguished 20 minutes after the arrival of fire crews.
No injuries to civilians or fire personnel were reported; however, two vehicles within the burning garage have been considered a total loss.
At this time, the cause of the fire remains unknown and under investigation.
