As summer activities heat up, the Sheboygan Police Department is reminding residents to be aware of municipal ordinances in the City.
The department encourages Sheboyganites to utilize the various community spaces the city has to offer; however, many of these spots may have area-specific rules or regulations.
These regulations can include pet-friendly areas around Sheboygan where dogs are or are not allowed off-leash, alcohol consumption rules, and more.
One specific example Sheboygan PD raised was that of cliff jumping at Sheboygan Quarry Park.
Cliff jumping is prohibited at the Quarry, and swimmers must enter the water using the public entrance at the shelter on site.
Pet-friendly areas where dogs are required to be on a leash include Evergreen, North Point, and Pigeon River Parks, as well as all designated recreational trails.
The public consumption of alcohol in Sheboygan is prohibited in all public spaces with the exception of seven parks, which include Cleveland, End, and Kiwanis Parks.
More information regarding the City’s municipal ordinances related to summer activities can be found by visiting the Sheboygan Police Department Facebook page.
