Three people are in custody following a vehicle pursuit in Fond du Lac County.
A K9 Deputy with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office observed a vehicle with an equipment violation on Monday morning (June 30th) heading northbound on Interstate 41 near County Road B.
The vehicle then failed to obey a traffic signal while turning onto Highway 151, and the Deputy initiated a traffic stop.
However, the driver failed to stop and turned onto Camelot Drive.
During the ensuing pursuit, the deputy witnessed the vehicle come to a stop on Police Memorial Drive as the driver and passenger switched seats before fleeing once again.
The vehicle would then find its way back to I-41, where an additional deputy successfully deployed a tire deflation device.
The car then came to a stop in the ditch, and three suspects fled the vehicle on foot.
Two of the suspects, 34- and 42-year-old Keshena women, were quickly tracked down by two K9 deputy teams and arrested.
Both have been charged with offenses related to fleeing law enforcement, on top of various drug possession charges, including intent to deliver Schedule One and Two Narcotics.
A third suspect who fled the scene, an unidentified male with warrants out for his arrest, was later tracked down following an extensive manhunt and charged for his involvement in the incident.
