
A man from Oshkosh has been sentenced to federal prison in a drug trafficking case.
51-year-old Peter J Henkle was ordered, on Monday (June 30th), to spend six years in a federal prison for possessing with the intent to distribute cocaine and marijuana.
In addition to time in prison, U.S. Judge William Griesbach ordered Henkle to forfeit to the government $579,207, two Harley-Davidson motorcycles, a 2019 Dodge Challenger Scat Pack, and a 2020 Ford F250 Lariat Tremor on top of a $50,000 fine.
As reported by SeehaferNews.com last year, the 51-year-old was arrested after the Oshkosh Police Department conducted two search warrants at properties within the city.
At the first location, authorities seized 30 grams of cocaine, 50 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and $3,000 in cash.
The second warrant uncovered $330,000 in cash, one kilogram of cocaine, 7.5 pounds of marijuana, and over 1,000 THC cartridges.
Through the investigation, banked accounts linked to Henkle were learned to have been funded by his drug operation and used to purchase the vehicles he has since been ordered to forfeit.
The 51-year-old admitted to law enforcement that he obtained and distributed numerous kilos of cocaine over the course of the past two years.
Oshkosh PD was assisted in their investigation by the Lake Winnebago Area Metropolitan Enforcement Group and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
