The Green Bay Police Department is investigating after a body was recovered from the Fox River near Leicht Park.
The department was called around 4:20 p.m. yesterday (July 1st) following the report of a passerby who found the body in the water.
The 70-year-old Green Bay man was removed from the water just after 4:35 p.m. with assistance from the Green Bay Metro Fire Department.
Green Bay Police says the circumstances of the death are yet to be determined; however, it’s believed the public is not in any danger.
The identity of the man is not being released at this time, and no other details are being provided.
