Cleanup efforts are ongoing in Hartford following Monday’s train derailment, which sent about 20 railcars off the tracks and led to a significant diesel fuel spill.
Thousands of gallons of fuel were released onto the ground, though authorities report the spill has been contained and nearby waterways remain unaffected.
While most of the derailed cars have been removed, work continues to recover as much fuel as possible.
Three railroad employees suffered minor injuries in the crash.
