A woman charged with killing her cellmate at the Taycheedah Correctional Institute has been convicted.
Court records show that 29-year-old Taylor Sanchez pleaded no contest to one count of 1st-degree intentional homicide Monday during a plea hearing in Fond du Lac County Court.
Judge Tricia Walker set her sentencing hearing for July 28th.
Sanchez was arrested in July 2023 after Cindy Schulz-Juedes was found in her cell and was said to be unresponsive in a pool of blood.
According to a criminal complaint, she told investigators that she had stopped taking her medication and that she was hearing voices.
The complaint also said she admitted to killing Schulz-Juedes to another correctional officer and to her mother while talking on the phone.
She is already serving prison time for a long list of previous cases in Kenosha County.
