A graduate of Oostburg High School has been named the Fairest of the Fair in Sheboygan County.
20-year-old Payton Vorpahl of Random Lake, a soon-to-be senior at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, earned the honor at the 2025 Fairest of the Fair gala held on Sunday (June 29th) in Elkhart Lake.
At UW-River Falls, Vorpahl is pursuing a degree in animal science with a minor in agricultural business.
She is also an active member of her college’s Pre-Veterinary Club, Falcon 4-H Club, and the dairy and meat judging teams.
After graduating, she hopes to enter the agricultural industry within Sheboygan County while becoming a leader of a 4-H club.
The two other finalists in the running to be named Fairest of the Fair this year included Cora Kohlman of Sheboygan Falls and Jillian Chybowski of Cleveland.
