
A dog passed away during a house fire in Two Rivers.
The Two Rivers Fire Department was called to the 1100 block of 35th Street last Saturday (June 26th).
Fire crews arrived on the scene to find heavy smoke and visible flames emanating from the second-story front portion of the home.
They started attacking the interior, and the fire was quickly brought under control.
Fire Chief David Murack said there were no injuries to the homeowners or firefighters, but one dog perished in the fire.
The American Red Cross is assisting the people who were displaced.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Two Rivers Firefighters got help from the Town of Two Rivers Fire Department, Manitowoc Fire Rescue, Mishicot Fire Department and Ambulance, Two Rivers Utilities, the Manitowoc County Joint Dispatch Center, and the American Red Cross.
