A Green Bay man has been charged with OWI after crashing into a roundabout and running from police over the weekend.
WBAY reports that Wrightstown Police were working with the Brown County OWI Task Force on Washington Street for a traffic stop when they saw a car speeding.
Police say the car failed to yield to emergency lights and sirens as it approached the roundabout.
The driver couldn’t get the car to stop before it skidded into the roundabout and crashed. Wrightstown Police say the 28-year-old driver fled from the scene but was later caught after a search of the area.
He’s now facing charges of recklessly endangering safety, eluding an officer, resisting, felony bail jumping, and suspicion of impaired driving.
