One of the biggest events of the year is nearly upon us.
Fourth on the Shore is the City of Manitowoc’s annual Independence Day celebration, which begins at 10:00 a.m. on July 4th with a parade.
As is tradition, the parade will begin at Washington and South 8th Streets, travel north along 8th, before turning east on Maritime Drive, and ending at the Manitowoc Yacht Club.
The festivities will run all day long with live music at The Wharf, craft vendors and food trucks in the YMCA parking lot, self-guided tours inside the Manitowoc Breakwater Lighthouse, music and kids’ activities at the Manitowoc Yacht Club, just to name a few.
The festivities also correlate with the annual SubFest activities at the Maritime Museum, which runs all weekend long.
Fourth on the Shore concludes with the Festival Foods Fireworks Show at 9:30 p.m. over Lake Michigan.
