A Wisconsin-based defense company will be making tactical vehicles for a foreign military.
Oshkosh Defense has announced the signing of an agreement with the Netherlands Ministry of Defense (MoD) for the procurement of 150 Dutch Expeditionary Patrol Vehicles (DXPV).
The order of the DXPV, known as the “Kaaiman,” marks another step forward in the ongoing modernization of the Dutch military, specifically the Dutch Marine Corps, which will be using the vehicles.
The DXPV will offer state-of-the-art off-road mobility, high speeds, and interoperability with NATO forces in diverse European environments.
On the contract, Pat Williams, Chief Programs Officer at Oshkosh Defense, said, “This agreement reflects the continued global interest in the Oshkosh JLTV platform and reinforces our role as the only Original Equipment Manufacturer authorized to offer it to international customers through Direct Commercial Sales.”
The Netherlands has become the most recent country to join a long list of nations selecting Oshkosh Defense and the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle to strengthen ground military forces.
