
Margaret Ann Czekala, age 88, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life with family by her side on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at St. Mary’s at Felician Village.
Margaret was born on July 3, 1936 in Manitowoc to the late George and Lorena (Schnuell) Liska Sr. She graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1955. On September 26, 1959, Margaret married Albert R. Czekala at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Manitowoc. After 64 years of marriage, Al preceded her in death on November 2, 2023. She had been employed at Lindstedt-Hoffman Company for many years and concluded her working career at American Family Insurance. Margaret was an avid knitter and liked making and donating baby caps to Holy Family Memorial Medical Center. She enjoyed imparting her card playing knowledge to her husband Al, but above all, was a proud grandmother and loved her family.
Survivors include three children, Julie A. (Tom) Tittl, Dawn Berger, and Shari Czekala and her significant other Andy Kober, all of Manitowoc; granddaughter, Vanessa Berger; two sisters, Cynthia Simino, Madison; and Lora Liska, Appleton; brother-in-law, Daniel “Zeke” (Gen) Czekala, Manitowoc; also other relatives and friends. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and two brothers, George Liska Jr. and Keith Liska.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. The family will greet relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Following the service, a luncheon for family and friends will be held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Margaret will be laid to rest at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Evergreen Cemetery in Manitowoc.
