A federal court has ruled in favor of Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul in a case involving electric vehicle infrastructure funding.
The judge issued a temporary halt to spending cuts made via an executive order by former President Donald Trump.
The funding, totaling $5 billion for nationwide EV charging stations, was authorized by the 2021 Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.
The court found that the executive order improperly bypassed congressional authority.
Wisconsin is among more than a dozen states that opposed the order.
