The former Sheboygan Falls Assistant Fire Chief has been convicted in a child sexual assault case.
45-year-old John P. Albright was inside a Sheboygan County courtroom yesterday (June 25th) for a plea hearing.
Albright had been charged with one felony count of Second-Degree Sexual Assault of a Child, to which he pleaded not guilty to back in October of last year.
However, at yesterday’s hearing, the 45-year-old was convicted of the lone charge he faced after altering his plea to a no contest plea.
Few details are available regarding the incident, but when first announced by police in Sheboygan Falls, they stated that Albright, the City’s former Assistant Fire Chief, was placed on administrative leave and under investigation for sexually assaulting a child under the age of 16.
After his conviction, Albright will return to court in Sheboygan County on September 4th for his sentencing hearing.
