A car caught fire earlier today in the City of Manitowoc.
Manitowoc Fire Rescue was called to the intersection of Dewey Street and 42nd Street, right next to Culver’s and Festival Foods, at around noon today.
A red car was on fire, and crews quickly attacked the blaze.
A firefighter on the scene informed SeehaferNews.com that the vehicle had been purchased for scrap and had leaves and other buildup inside the engine compartment.
This caused the engine to overheat and eventually catch fire.
