A Plymouth High School Student earned top marks at the State FFA Competition.
Aiden DeMunck, an incoming Plymouth senior, was named the Wisconsin FFA State Winner in the Diversified Horticulture Proficiency area at the 96th annual state competition.
By being named as the state winner, DeMunck’s application will move on to the national FFA level.
If he is selected as one of four finalists from across the country, he will compete at the National FFA Convention in November.
Those competing in the Diversified Horticulture category work to use the best management practices to efficiently produce and market plants and various arrangements.
When discussing DeMunck’s achievement, the Wisconsin FFA said in a statement, “His continued experience with plants allows him to better serve the customers of the store and answer any questions that they have.”
The Plymouth native has gained that experience in the field while working at Millhome Nursery and Greenhouses since March of 2023.
In his time there, he’s helped with plant propagation, maintenance, landscaping work, and seasonal projects such as wreath-making and growing poinsettias.
