While Monday was another scorcher, it wasn’t quite a record high for the City of Manitowoc.
Thermometers reached a high of 91 degrees in the Clipper City, and while that is 12.4 degrees higher than the historic average for June 23rd, it fell short of the record high of 96, as reported by Weather.com.
The hottest temperature ever reached in Manitowoc came on July 11th, 1936, when residents had to deal with 105-degree air.
Also of note, the record low for June 23rd was 37 degrees.
Temperatures are expected to be significantly cooler as we move throughout the rest of the week, sitting in the high 60s to low 70s; however, rain is anticipated as well.
