
No one was hurt after a garage caught fire in Manitowoc.
Battalion Chief Jeremy Wagner tells Seehafernews.com that Manitowoc Fire Rescue was called to the 500 block of North 6th Street yesterday (June 23rd) at 4:25 p.m. on a report of a structure fire with smoke and flames.
The first fire engine crew arrived on the scene in just over two minutes and found a fully involved fire coming from a detached garage.
Firefighters immediately began working to extinguish the fire, with a second fire truck arriving to assist shortly thereafter.
The fire was eventually put out, with no injuries reported.
The fire is currently under investigation, but it appears to have originated from within the garage.
It is not known how much damage the fire caused.
The Two Rivers Fire Department, Branch Fire Department, Manitowoc Police Department, Manitowoc County Joint Dispatch, and Manitowoc Public Utilities provided assistance to Manitowoc Fire and Rescue.
