A local child is in the running to win the 2025 Jr. Ranger Rick Competition.
Josslyn Bartelt is participating in the event, in which the winner will earn $20,000, learn from wildlife expert and television personality, Jeff Corwin, and appear in a Ranger Rick magazine.
Josslyn is an animal lover who enjoys catching frogs, kayaking, rock & sea glass hunting, finding snakes, catching bugs, and just being outside.
As of this morning, she is in 5th place.
Everyone is given two free votes, but additional votes can be purchased, with donations going towards the continuation of the Ranger Rick Magazine.
Each edition is packed with exciting wildlife stories, activities, and games, and features animal encounters, science discoveries, outdoor adventures, and puzzles—engaging kids and inspiring a lifelong love of nature.
Voting ends at 9:00 Wednesday night, but the double votes end at 11:00 tonight.
