Bond has been set for the Manitowoc man charged with OWI late last week.
54-year-old Kip A. Malczewski was given a $3,000 recognizance bond by Court Commissioner Patricia Koppa on a charge of OWI, his 4th offense.
Malczewski was pulled over in the area of North 10th and Buffalo Streets at around 3:30 Friday afternoon, shortly after a witness called in a two-vehicle accident at 10th and Washington.
He admitted to rear-ending another vehicle and said the other driver got out and demanded money.
Malczewski said that because there was no visible damage, he gave the woman $100, and both left the scene.
He was given a field sobriety test and an evidentiary blood draw before being taken into custody.
As a part of his bond, Malczewski was ordered to maintain absolute sobriety and not to operate any motor vehicles.
