The Sheboygan Jaycees have announced the finalists for one of their charitable initiatives.
The 72nd annual Brat Days in Sheboygan will take place on August 2nd at Kiwanis Park, featuring the eight finalists for the 2025 Charity Challenge.
This year’s finalists will be Freedom Cry Inc., Habitat for Humanity Lakeside, Innovative Care Services, and Lakeshore CAP, along with Paws Up Pet Rescue, Sheboygan County Cycling, Sheboygan Theatre Company, and Theater for Young Audiences.
This challenge aims to give local nonprofits an opportunity to earn money while promoting their organization at Brat Days. During the celebration of bratwurst, tip jars will be placed at each of the event’s bar areas.
This money will be split up amongst the eight finalists after the event.
However, each finalist will have volunteers filling shifts at ticket, beer, and food stands, and the nonprofit whose volunteers amass the most hours will earn an additional $500 on behalf of the Jaycees.
The group with the second most hours will receive a $200 donation, and the third will be gifted $100.
After Brat Days, the Jaycees will tally out the number of hours contributed and the winners will be announced on October 2nd at the Jaycees Chapter meeting.
