The Wisconsin State Senate has passed a Resolution honoring a prolific Wisconsin author.
Ellison Bay’s Jerry Apps has written more than fifty books that have preserved the stories of country life in the Badger State.
State Sen. André Jacque praised Apps for his work, saying, “Thousands of people over three generations have learned about Wisconsin’s dairy and agricultural history thanks to Jerry Apps. Mr. Apps and his books are beloved by Wisconsinites from all walks of life, and I am very proud to call him a constituent of the 1st Senate District.”
Sen. Jacque said Jerry Apps’ contribution is especially cherished by his fellow farmers and rural Wisconsin residents, who have carried on a way of life, inherited from their parents, that would otherwise be lost in the mist of time.
The measure honoring Jerry Apps is Senate Joint Resolution 71.
