The Manitowoc County Ag Educator is very happy with the progress being made in local fields.
During her weekly Manitowoc County Agriculture Update on 1240 WOMT and 980 WCUB, Angie Ulness referenced the popular Tim McGraw song Where the Green Grass Grows, as she said farmers have been watching their “corn pop up in rows.”
“Really, I think the next couple of days, when its in the 90s, everyone is going to be able to see the corn just take off,” she reported. “It should be knee high by the 4th of July.”
She also noted that producers are gearing up for their second crop in the next couple of weeks, and said “Dairy farmers out there couldn’t be more excited about what the crops’ potentials are this year.”
