An Eastern Wisconsin Assemblyman is optimistic about the state of the budget talks, at least with the Assembly.
Representative Shae Sortwell tells SeehaferNews.com that the Assembly and Governor Tony Evers have reopened their discussions on the 2025-2027 biennial budget, and things are going well.
He said he believes the Governor and Assembly are “making significant progress on coming to a deal on issues from tax cuts, to schools and childcare, UW reform and road funding.”
Rep Sortwell also said there are details to be worked out, but he is “Optimistic that we will soon come to an agreement that will be good for all of Wisconsin.”
