Despite the hot weather, an annual music festival will continue this afternoon in Manitowoc.
Like in years past, Metro Jam will feature numerous bands from the US and Canada, coming to Clipper City for a free day of music at Washington Park, presented by MetroStage.
Starting at noon today (June 21st), Murphy Blvd will take the stage, followed by The Taxmen at 1:15 p.m.
Laforce 3 Peace hits the Washington Park stage at 2:30 p.m., followed by Milwaukee-based Louis and the Flashbombs and Dickie, an alternative band from Des Moines, Iowa.
Singer/guitarist Ariel Posen and his band will take the stage at 7:00 p.m. with the Jayhawks headlining the 46th year.
The Minnesota-based band is recognized as a driving force and inspiration behind the growing Americana movement in the early 1990s.
A variety of food and beverages will be available for sale at the park.
Metro Jam also sells merchandise, such as t-shirts.
