The two people charged in the death of Elijah Vue will be in court on the same day.
The attorney representing 40-year-old Jesse Vang said that half of the evidence has been looked over by him and they need three more months to get through the rest.
Judge Anthony Lambrecht scheduled another status conference for September 26th, the same day 32-year-old Katrina Baur is scheduled to return to court.
Vang faces charges of physical abuse of a child causing death, hiding a corpse, chronic child neglect, and resisting an officer after Elijah’s remains were found in the Town of Two Rivers in September last year.
Vang initially reported Elijah missing in February.
A criminal complaint says that he and Baur we’re bringing Vue to Two Rivers to “make him a man” and were trying to correct his “bad behavior.”
Medical records show that Elijah was physically and emotionally tortured before his death, but it was ruled a homicide by unspecified means.
