The second large item collection event of the summer in the City of Sheboygan is set for this weekend.
The event will take place tomorrow (June 21st) at the Municipal Service Building from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
These events scheduled throughout the summer allow Sheboyganites to dispose of large unwanted materials that cannot be thrown out with weekly scheduled trash pick-ups.
Items that will be accepted include household furniture, mattresses and box springs, scrap metal, and other miscellaneous items considered to be junk.
However, the City will not accept items such as hazardous waste, tires, yard waste, or electronic waste, among others.
The event will be free of charge and open to all Sheboygan residents.
Those who participate should be prepared to provide proof of residency, and all materials brought must be unloaded by the owner.
The Sheboygan Municipal Service Building is located at 2026 New Jersey Avenue, and a complete list of items permitted for collection can be found at sheboygandpw.com.
